What
is applied
improv?
Applied improv is the use of improvisational theatre techniques outside of a performance context, typically to develop practical skills in professional or educational settings. Unlike traditional improv, which focuses on entertaining an audience, applied improv aims to help participants build skills like active listening, adaptability, teamwork, creativity, and communication.

In applied improv workshops, participants engage in exercises and activities which allow them to practice thinking on their feet, solving problems creatively, and communicating effectively in a safe and supportive environment.
